. As part of its recent Copyright Directive proposal the European Commission has proposed measures to ensure transparency and fair remuneration for creators and performers in the digital environment.
. At the same time technology and the digital content markets develop rapidly. With new digital distribution and marketing channels opening for artists and creators the market dynamics are changing, and new technologies offer solutions that allow for greater transparency and insight.
. The panel will provide an update on the status of the measures proposed by the Commission and discuss their objectives, limits, and impact on markets considering the recent industry developments and current practices (including regarding the acquisition, use, and reporting of creators’ and performers’ digital rights within the different content sectors).
